In October 2025, Sashwin turned 30 years old, the youngest resident at the Home, and one of the most passionate athletes we have here. His heart lies with boccia, a precision ball sport. Ever since being exposed to boccia during his time at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, he now spends his Saturdays training and preparing for upcoming competitions.
In 2013, he proudly represented Singapore at the ASEAN Youth Paralympic Games, a milestone he remembers with pride.
Beyond the court, Sashwin contributes his creative talents to the Home. He designs eye-catching posters for the resident notice board, highlighting movie screenings and events. He also enjoys karaoke, writing poems which he shares on social media and practising his faith by attending church at the nearby Zion Church every Sunday, thanks to the support of volunteers.
Sashwin values the freedom and independence he has gained since moving into the Home. This sense of independence has given him the confidence to explore new interests and build meaningful friendships.
