Be inspired by Aaron’s story. He lives with a form of muscular dystrophy called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, which requires support for his daily activities.
Aaron has always dreamed of independence. After living abroad with his family, he moved back to Singapore on his own, determined to build a life for himself. In 2018, he joined the Singapore Cheshire Home, where our Individual Care Plan programme provided tailored support to help him work steadily toward his personal goals.
With encouragement from the Home, Aaron found a job, learned to plan for the future, and built the skills needed to live independently. Today, he is married and thriving, having successfully transitioned out of the Home to live on his own.
